Training Objectives

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  • Define sexual exploitation and human trafficking and the impact to the hotel industry,
  • Identify how each department can spot the warning signs and general indicators of human trafficking,
  • Know the legal duty to report when human trafficking is suspected, and
  • Know the actions to take if you suspect sexual exploitation or human trafficking is occurring and who to contact.

FAQ

Who should take the training?
This knowledge aims to build awareness for employees and managers in all areas of the property of Manitoba Hotels and Motels.

There is no limit on the number of employees at a hotel that can take the training for free, and so we encourage all hotel and motel staff, in all positions, to complete the training.

How long is the Keep Kids Safe certificate valid?
The program completion date will be on the certificate. There is no expiration date.

How can I complete the Keep Kids Safe training program?
The Keep Kids Safe program can be taken on-line or self-study (take home) module and test.
